So what is a quiet mind, anyway, and how can you get one? A quiet mind is a skill you can acquire which will make your life better. It’s basically the opposite of freaking out. A quiet mind is tranquil, serene, and perceptive and makes better decisions. A quiet mind is authentically happy. It’s just one of the goals of therapy but for most of us, it’s a big one.
Humans naturally have life difficulties like loss, life changes, trauma, bad habits, problematic relationships and unfulfilled dreams. This can affect our ability to be healthy, happy and to make good choices. My job is to assist with changing that.
Another important way to use a counselor is when you simply wants more from your life or want to enhance the good life you already have. Counseling is about talking to an objective observer and being heard and appreciated for exactly who you are, certainly, but it’s also about actively making your life as great as possible in any area that you'd like to pay attention to.
I'll help you find the tools that will bring objectivity and awareness to your life so that you can have fresh options for dealing with anything that’s not working. Therapy will help you build on your innate resiliencies, change patterns, create personal and professional successes, and deal with difficult situations and people. It helps us go from feeling overwhelmed to feeling secure and from being stuck to movement in a healthy direction. It helps people create a life that matters.
Counseling or therapy is ultimately about figuring out how to create the life you want,
after all, it’s the only life you have and it’s a life worth celebrating everyday. Together, we will discover what is inhibiting your joy in any area of your life and what you can do to
change it.
